Know before you go

Two of the four nights are weekdays: travelling in for the Thursday or Friday show means time off work, and a hotel on a working night. Bad fit for: Anyone who can only get away at the weekend

The fan club is closed to anyone living abroad: FAMILY CLUB does not accept overseas addresses, and a Japan-based proxy cannot apply for you. Bad fit for: Overseas fans who do not yet hold a ticket

What regulars do

Sleep on the Meijo Line. The dome's station, Nagoya Dome-mae Yada, is five minutes' walk from exit 1, and the venue puts Sakae about 17 minutes away and Kanayama about 24. The last train through both leaves at 23:53 every night, reaching Sakae at 0:10. (How we know: The dome's access page, and Nagoya City Transportation Bureau's first-and-last-train table (weekdays and weekends alike).)

Use Ozone if your bed is by Nagoya station. It is 15 minutes' walk from the dome, and from there JR's Chuo Line reaches Nagoya station in about 13 minutes — a way round the Meijo Line platform. (How we know: The dome's access page.)

Don't drive. For events other than baseball the dome asks everyone to come by public transport, to ease congestion on the surrounding roads. (How we know: The dome's notice for concerts.)

From elsewhere in Aichi, Gifu or Mie you may not need a room: the Sunday show starts at 15:00, and the other nights leave the Meijo Line running until 23:53. (How we know: Start times from the official schedule; last train from the Nagoya City Transportation Bureau table.)
