Next edition — Aug 4–8, 2027 (CONFIRMED)
Goshogawara's Tachineputa sends towering illuminated floats through the town centre to music and chants. It is a different view of Tsugaru festival culture from Aomori's broad Nebuta floats. The circuit begins near the station, but an easy walk to the start is not a guarantee of a late train home; choose your sleeping base around the return.
How the date is set — Annual summer evening processions; consult the edition's route, weather decisions and transport notices.
How often it runs — Held annually; strong wind can cancel a procession even when light rain does not.
Goes first — Pick the evening that fits your Tsugaru route. The opening and final evenings can have a pre-procession gathering; check that edition's programme.
Act by — Choose a local room or a verified rail return before planning to stay to the procession's end.
The organiser's visitor FAQ separates the evening procession, pre-procession gathering and weather decisions.

A sold-out listing may reopen after a cancellation or an additional room release. 空きウォッチ Aki checks Rakuten Travel for new openings, so you can act when one appears.
Watch the rooms — free, no account
The figures stand high above the street, so select a permitted viewing point with a clear upward view. You do not need a paid seat to see the procession. Ask about accessible viewing separately if standing in the street will not work for you.
Goshogawara, Hirosaki and Aomori can form a rewarding summer route, but each deserves its own room and rail check. Plan the night you will sleep in each town before joining them into an itinerary. An extra transfer is particularly important after an evening procession.
Watch from permitted places on the circuit. Individual pulling participation can be arranged through the tourism association during its announced recruitment window; it is not a walk-up promise.
Watching for free — The organiser permits viewing along the route without a seat ticket. Avoid lengthy place-holding and keep the route clear.
How hard it actually is — A room you can walk to in Goshogawara avoids a connection after the procession. Hirosaki and Aomori widen the search, but they also host their own summer festivals: compare actual room availability instead of treating either city as an easy overflow. Check the selected railway itinerary before paying.
What a night costs — Street viewing is available without a paid seat. Seats are sold by the listed providers, not by the chamber of commerce; compare the offer and access arrangements directly.
