The 6 Hours of Fuji is the Japanese round of the FIA World Endurance Championship, raced at Fuji Speedway in Oyama, Shizuoka. The 2027 weekend is 24–26 September, round 8 of the season, with the six-hour race on Sunday. It suits Le Mans fans who want the same cars in Japan. Beds at the circuit are few, so plan on Gotemba, Numazu or Mishima and the race-day bus.
How the date is set — The championship published its 2027 calendar, with Fuji as round 8 on 24–26 September, on 12 June 2026. Friday is practice, Saturday a last practice and qualifying, and Sunday the race. The hotel nights watched are Friday 24 and Saturday 25 September.
How often it runs — A regular round: the 2026 race was Fuji's 13th on the championship calendar since the series began in 2012, and the 2027 race is confirmed.
Goes first — Saturday 25 September 2027, the night before the race, is the one to secure first; add Friday 24 September for practice day. Sunday night is not part of this watch, so arrange it yourself if you stay to the finish.
Act by — Hold a cancellable room for 24–25 September 2027 now, and watch for Fuji Speedway's ticket presale.
In 2026 advance sales opened on 2 April: adult general admission cost ¥9,600 until 7 May (CLOUD PASS only), ¥10,800 to 21 June and ¥12,000 from 1 July.

Two classes share the track. Hypercars are prototypes built by manufacturers such as Toyota, Ferrari, BMW and Aston Martin; LMGT3 cars are racing versions of road sports cars, driven by crews that mix professionals and amateurs. Fuji's main straight runs 1.475 km, one of the longest in racing, and the fastest cars pass 330 km/h before braking for Turn 1.
In 2026 the six hours ran from 11:00 to 17:00. Rain had stopped Saturday's qualifying soon after it began, so the grid came from practice times, and the race was settled in the final hour.
When the race ends, the crowd leaves together. For the 2026 Sunday the circuit set a recommended exit route for each car park and asked drivers to follow staff and leave in waves. The direct buses to Gotemba Station ran until 18:30 that evening, and Gotemba's last weekend train towards Numazu leaves at 22:41.
So plan Sunday night as carefully as Saturday. A room in Gotemba or Numazu lets you wait out the queues over dinner; anything fixed for Sunday evening, like a flight, leaves little margin. This watch covers the Friday and Saturday nights only.
Spectators need a ticket from Fuji Speedway; 2027 sales have not opened. In 2026 one general admission ticket covered all three days and let you move between the general viewing areas; on race day the upper grandstand and the Turn 1 stand needed a separate seat ticket.

Watching for free — Admission is by ticket; in 2026 same-day tickets were also sold at the East and West gates.
How hard it actually is — Beds at the circuit are few: the Fuji Speedway Hotel has 120 rooms and the RECAMP campsite 36 sites. What a night costs — Price the room, a three-day ticket and the bus as one sum: in 2026 adult general admission cost ¥9,600–12,000 in advance, depending on when you bought, or ¥15,000 at the gate, and the Gotemba direct bus ¥1,350 return. Gotemba is preparing a lodging tax, but its draft timetable starts it after the 2027 race.
