Rifu, home of the arena, has almost no hotels — touring fans stay in Matsushima, Shiogama or Sendai. Greater Sendai has plenty of rooms overall, but on show nights the well-rated station-side hotels go first, and the best rooms vanish earliest.
Rooms come back around free-cancellation deadlines; keeping an eye on station-side hotels along the Senseki and Tohoku lines is the way in.
