The last of Japan's three great Bon dances (Gujo and Awa are already watched). Ugo itself has almost no lodging, so the crowd squeezes into Yuzawa and Yokote — a pool of barely sixteen bookable properties across both towns.
Post-Obon itinerary shifts free rooms until late. Station-side Yuzawa and Yokote fill first; looking toward Omagari widens the net.
